Old County Line Depot

I have been deer and rabbit hunting ,at a buddy of mine's Dads farm with him ,for 10-15 years now.Which has RR tracks running through the property.

I told him tonight I wanted to go MDing around the farmhouse,and I asked how old it was.He says,,"well my dad built that in the 50's ,but you know where the first barn is on the right.That is built on the old County Line RR Depot foundation." (I about fell over,,,lol.)

The barn is about 30 yrds from the RR tracks and the same from the county line road.They have had cows in a fenced in area around this barn in the past.But not for the past 2 years.

What do you think?Could digging in old cow chit be a worthy cause?And farm tractors in and out for the past 40 years.

BTW...The farm directly across the street has a Historical Marker in the front yard.This don't have much to do with it but I thought I would mention it.

Well,,,you know I am going to try it,,but what do you think?I would have access to a back-hoe and other equipment,could shave the top 6 inches off,,lmao.

Do not forget railroad relics with the name of the railroad stamped on it are quite collectable. For example, railroad locks- brass are collected by a lot of people and are worth some money. A friend of my stumbled on to an old lock right on the ground at an old depot and sold it for a good profit
