Anyone around Springfield, Illinois? I know the standard looking places but was curious about how you guys do your research to find older places to look. I also see people talking about farm fields, is this just any field or is there certain criteria you go by before selecting a field. There is a place here called Camp Butler Cemetery, but of course you can't hunt there but thought about checking the surrounding property. It is a place where 2000 confederate soldiers were kept prisoner during the civil war. I know i am rambling just curious on how to find old locations to hunt.
