RIP PAT TILLMAN

RIP TO PAT TILLMAN, who died today while serving in Afghanistan with the United States Army. Keep in mind that he was rich and famous with the NFL, but decided to be an Army Ranger instead to "serve his country." Only a couple of people who have ever lived on earth with millions of $$$ have joined the Army like Pat (ie Elvis Pressley). Elvis is the King, but Pat Tillman is also the King.

RIP Pat and thanks for your ultimate sacrifice! ~Sal "Teprock" Boriello

Tiprock, thanks, sometimes we forget. this i feel would be a proper way to say well done, boomer

The Paradox of our Time

Author Unknown

We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less common sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too seldom, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom and lie too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.

We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've done larger things, but not better things; we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice; we write more, but learn less; plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes; but lower morals; more food, but less appeasement; more acquaintances, but fewer friends; more effort, but less success.

We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication, we've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

These are the time of fast foods and slow digestions; tall men and short character, steep profits, and shallow relationships.

These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure and less fun, more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say "I Love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.

A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to Love, give time to speak, give time to share the precious Thoughts in your mind.

respect

I think anyone can respect someone that sees a bigger picture and is willing to give of themself for the good of others. Some have laid down their lives knowing that they would not see loved ones again and some did it not knowing that they were in harms way. Living or dead, those who risk a little or all, have my respect.

Well said all, that's what makes America great, you can say what ever you want without fear of being put in jail or having your head cut off (although sometimes this would be a good alternative). I really like the "Author Unknown" part. I think I will give my wife and daughter a big hug and kiss. 8)

I love treasurenet.com/forum, but agree that they should not have erased your ignorant comment and my reply--I wanted others to see what kind of troll you really are, Jake.

I noticed that you did not go to

http://www.elvis.com.au/presley/elvisandtheusarmy.shtml

or been to

www.msnbc.com

to see that there are really warriors out there (regardless of financial status) who are risking death to fight for their country. Elvis could have been a celebrity recruiter, but instead he was an infatntryman in Helll on Wheels. Tillman would have made million$ and unlimited perks in the NFL, but he chose the Army Rangers instead. Call them robots like the scum of the earth you are Jake and keep on hiding behind your computer. You have no aura, dork. Also, I noticed that you did not say that you're from the United States. If you are, then you are a traitor to your country during a time of war, jerkface. If you ever played a physical sport like jiu-jitsu or faught in the Army, you'd be singing a different tune instead of Britney Spears songs naked in your mother's house, Jake, you geek.

You are an enemy to the United States Jake.

Hey Jake,
Tell it to someone who cares. Blah, Blah, Blah. Just like Dirtworm, Smegma Rose, and now Jakesvalet, you all will go down in Treasurenet history as idiots who want to incite people into verbal sparing. Can it, Jake. We want to talk Treasure, not spar. Bring up something valid and I'm sure other would love to include you, but right now we don't need the hassles.

Jake, This is not the site for the type of statements that you made in reply to a persons death, the criticisms that you have been making on several of your posts to others is unwarranted. I see that you are Incapable of being justified or explained. Try this book:
