Here is one of the most important mods out all detectors is the phono plub for the Tejon. In the first photo, due to the location of the phono plug which is right under the side of the ground balancing knob. The headphone coil at time likes to rub along the side of casing which then rubs along the ground balance nub and messes thing up. You can see I relocated the phono plug right at the top of the arm brace. Now the coil is totally out of the way and my ground balance has been stable ever since.
In the second photo, I have added a volume control because if you don't have it, you need headphones with volume control. Headphones with volume control can get a little more expencive and are hard to find. Now can use many different models with out volume ajustments. And there are so many nice one to choose from.
