Excalibur 1000 Straight Shaft Connector

Hi! Folks, I just bought a used Exal and on the modified straight shaft I can't seem to get the connector to work. If you have any ideas of what's wrong could you let me know. Is there something missing, Thanks, marchas45

I think that you may be missing an plastic insert that goes between both of the tubes.

Thanks MT Pockets, I was thinking that but wasn't sure.

Yes, the insert is missing. Normally the two halves are super glued together to keep the insert in place. You usually have to cut or break it to replace them.
