Thinking of adding an additional coil

I currently use a Garrett GTAx 550 equipped with a 7 x 10 Proformance Coil. I have thought about adding a 8.5 x 11 DD Proformance Coil to perhaps increase my depth some. With this model having been discontinued for several years now parts are starting to get hard to come by. Does anyone out there have any experience with this set up or coils? $99 isn't a lot of money but I would like to know if the possible increased depth/ performance is worth it or not. Thanks
