Ok guys got this fisher metal detector

came with some work to do:
broken discrimination pot
screen needle does not work
broken coil shaft
broken tightener near the handle

currently my tech guy "old school electrician" that helps me fix & mod my paintball markers is looking on how to fix the control box

I have been working on the shaft stuf

this is how I fix the tightener that was split in half

I glued back together with J B Weld and left it for a day to cure
then I cut a canal with my dremel and put a zip tie Im thinking of using a second one but I only had this heavy duty one

since the lower shaft was messed up I found a plastic whites coil shaft

the only problem is that the cz have the shaft with a vertical bottom hole and the whites is a horizontal holes

sooo I drilled a horizontal hole so all the bottom holes are moved the to the side

I started with a small drill bit and move to bigger ones

repaired and adapted rod

Ill post updated later on about the control box

That's okay for a hip mount. I use the same or a very similar bag for my finds and tool pouch.
