This was the response from Minelab
It is not advisable to shorten the length of the Excalibur cable.
The coil is tuned to the electronics during manufacture and the coil cable length is critical in achieving optimum performance of the detector.
I do not have access to material specifications; but changing the length of the cable will adversely affect performance.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have further questions.
Thank you,
Tracy

So I contacted Coiltek with the same question. Below is the response.
Thank you for contacting us.
The length of cable does not matter for the distances we are talking about on a coil. If we speak 10metrs plus then maybe.
I would suggest not modifying the cable as there may be times where the extra length is necessary and once cut it is difficult to extend.
I hope this helps!
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you.

I guess I am answering my own questions since this forum has fallen on deaf ears. As for the E-Bay connectors, they look good, but are too big to slide in the carbon fiber shaft. Therefore, I wait on Female M12 connectors, as of right now they are backorder until June 25th. I will continue to update this post as I do the mods. Any help is greatly appericated.

Were you able to find what you needed and how is that connector for the coil?

You will have to buy 3rd party end caps, minelap does not sell parts to customers. The excal charger puts out 18 volts charging and when new battery is fully charged voltage is over 14 volts.
