    DX-1 probe

    Sometime back I traded some stuff for a DX-1 probe, (love it). However...once installed you can't collapse the length of the detector rod because the bolts that hold the clips go through the shaft. Anyone using different clips or that will allow the the shaft to be collapsed.

    I ended up installing just one clip. one holds it fine for me. if that helps you any.

    I ponied up and got the side box mount for mine for the same reason. $20.00 is kind of alot but at least I can collapse my detector when I put it in the back of my SUV.
