I have a pair of whites headphones and was wanting to make them a single earpiece set. What do I need to do, as far as taking the earpiece off? Can I just cut the wire and put some tape on it? Has anyone else done this before? The headphones are not a big deal if I mess them up,but I do want to know how to do it so I don`t mess them up.Thanks for any suggestions and your help.HH.jeff

Your headphones are probably stereo. The connector plug has three separate surfaces. One is ground the other two are signal connections, 1 left and 1 right. You can simply remove one side, just be carefull not to let the two remaining wire ends touch. I only have two concerns, one is what this will do to the detectors output (no load on one channel), and two how the headphones will fit. Don,t be surprised if you end up getting a new set of headphones or maybe one like the Rattler hedaphones with only one side.
