I have a very interesting rock that i believe is an old Pallasite. There is actually olivine in it. I would gladly give some $$$ if you could
assist me in identifying it. It weighs about 10 pounds.

Yes S-Yoda, I can do that...A lot of people don't like sniping off a sample..I don't usually. A Photo against a color sheet with good lighting, no shadows, ect helps.. Haag has a very good catalog/pics.. for your files & everyones..Even Pallasites have anomallies..E/S/L excuse..By old I assume you referer to unstable/flacky material? All meteorites are magnetic..most Pallasites have presents of Olivene( green gem quality) encased in Nichole..bits of Iron oxides (not Visable) and by weight about 3 times heavier than by volume of earth rocks which contain a lot of oxygen..Pallisites have to be studied carefully if cuting is decided, better to center cut to give two inner surfaces..they are valueble, and should aways be shared with Meteorite community for imformation files..When I cut, I have someone who knows, and does display specimen, etching ect. in exchange for small slice as payment...Hagg is best reference. After all he, not Ninninger, created the huge market we enjoy today... but yes, on a more hands-on identification, I could assist in some way...Let me know..Marketing is a complicate issue also..
