Meteorite or Meteorwrong? Found detecting.

Hey guys. I found this the other day detecting. It made a good tone on my detector. I dug it and here we are. It has some shiney silver deposits on it. Not sure. Plus don't know anything about meteorites. It weighs 2 ozs. Here ae some pictures.

I'm gonna guess wrong. Only one reason, and I hope I'm wrong: meteorite unless it split just before striking the earth, should have a much smoother surface, and less angular protrusions. Any overall angular/sharp areas probably preclude stone from being a meteorite.
