I picked this up out of a Pennsylvania creek bed because it looked different from all the other rocks. It makes the metal detector go off and a magnet sticks to it. My guess is it's probably just some native rock that has wear from the creek but someone had to mention it looked like a meteorite, so i figured before I throw it down over the bank I would put up a post about it. Its weighs a little over 10 ounces. Whats your take of it?

Although slight, it is possible that it could be a meteorite. It looks right. I suggest you do a few more test.

supertraq, after you mentioned it, I took a closer look and your right it sure does look like black fusion. I don't know too much about meteorites, so I don't know if it would be worth having it tested or not. Here are a few close-ups of it.

Update

I attempted to carefully extract a sample for testing but even with the best of tools I am finding it very difficult. It reduced a 4 inch carbide disc to a 2 inch carbide disc in about 20 seconds lol.. It just occurred to me that I am most likely breathing space dust ;-)
