About 10 years ago a friend of mine who lives on top of a hill in a low populated area came home one day and found a peculiar rock that suddenly appeared in his backyard along with a hole not rather big. He split the rock so the original size was few of these in the photos combined. He gave it around to friends and family without anything in return so i see no reason to question his story. He is and older man. Rock i have is 310grams heavy and does not attract magnet. I will add pictures, thank you for any help. A few people have suggested it might be Martian because it does not attract magnet, i will try to get stronger magnet i only have fridge ones.

What else could it be? The kink in this is that your friend said it "suddenly appeared in his backyard along with a hole." So, if we must believe that, then it has to be extraterrestrial. If that statement is eliminated, then we can say it's not a meteorite, because it doesn't have any characteristic appearances of one.

It has no visible characteristics of being a meteorite. You are free, however, to have it evaluated by qualified professionals.

Time for more coffee.

Here is the deal. We (No one) can verify a meteorite by looking at a photo. Take the rock to a college or university near you and consult with the Geology Department. In this case I personally believe you'll be disappointed. :occasion14:

Hey everyone, i have calculated the density and done streak marks on porculain. Density is between 2.05-2.15. It does not attract magnet hanging on a thread, and does not attract needle hanging on a thread. Streak marks are grey-silverish, similar to the colour of the rock, pencil like. I'm open to any suggestions now you might have about what it is. Thank you for responses

Just wanted to share with you a picture i took of the rock with my phone with pro effect and lowered light trying to capture only colour of the crystals. It looks mesmerizing. You can see it the best if you put your phone brightness to max! cheers
