Magnetic
No streak
However I don’t think meteorites fracture like this on the inside.
Any chance here do you think of it being a meteorite?

And sry, I posted same picture twice! ???🤷🏼*♂️

Slag came to my mind as well. I ruled it out though based on where I found it. But I’m no expert either. :) thanks!

If you can get a piece off and see if it's shiny on the inside it may help

You _MAY_ have a stony chrondrite. Yes, that is a kind of meteorite. The only question I have is that it has interior cracks. Most meteorites don't. Cracks look like it was just about to split apart before landing, which is possible if it is a meteorite. The next think is to take the specimen(s) to a specialist. Arizona should have a lot of specialists. I think the H.H.Ninenger collection may be in Arizona, But don't know where. Good Luck!

Thank you! The piece I cut off is very brittle. I know that because I dropped it and it broke into pieces. Is it possible under certain conditions for a Stony chondrite to become brittle?

Provided the stone was near to exploding when it lit. ... I would think that the impact would have split it apart, not dropping it.

Looks like a conglomerate of some type. Looks nothing like any meteorite I have seen or have reference pictures of. Since it has no visible characteristics of meteorites, my opinion is that it is not.

If you wish, take it to a professional in the field and find out for certain.

Time for more coffee.

This is what I was comparing it with. A carbonaceous contrite. Are you familiar with these?

My opinion stands until you have your item certified by a qualified lab.
