    Space turd?????

Hi everybody. A buddy of mine found a football size rock while we were prospecting for gold north of the Missouri River in Missouri. The rock weighed 70 pounds and has a 3/8 of an inch crust on the outside. It is magnetic. My buddy cut a piece off of it with a concrete saw. Here are some pictures of the piece. If anybody out there has an opinion of what it is’it would be well appreciated. Thank you for your time. Click image for larger version.

Jim, if ya get no answer you might try another thread called "Got a rock you want identified?" or something real close to that. Several people with knowledge chime in on that thread and i.d. about anything put on there. Good luck.
