Hi everybody. A buddy of mine found a football size rock while we were prospecting for gold north of the Missouri River in Missouri. The rock weighed 70 pounds and has a 3/8 of an inch crust on the outside. It is magnetic. My buddy cut a piece off of it with a concrete saw. Here are some pictures of the piece. If anybody out there has an opinion of what it is’it would be well appreciated. Thank you for your time. 6B573986-1ECB-4C6A-9CDC-4C65502A3CE3.jpeg 54EDA836-B926-49A3-A40E-1F990A238554.jpeg 1659639D-FBC3-4A82-8283-57256D803F11.jpg 42FBEAF7-824A-49DA-B17E-766C292355C5.jpeg 4872F6EA-815C-4630-B856-2899E3F42AF6.jpeg 7F2E71F4-B79A-40E0-9B46-17407F6522C8.jpeg

Jim, if ya get no answer you might try another thread called "Got a rock you want identified?" or something real close to that. Several people with knowledge chime in on that thread and i.d. about anything put on there. Good luck.
