Help me identify this ? I was told it's a meteorite and was tested positive for gold

Sorry, not a meteorite. It has no visible characteristics that even say maybe. Whether it has gold is another matter and can not be determined by the images provided.

There are dozens of rocks that are similar in appearance, so a good handbook on mineral identification might be in order.

If you have an interest in meteorites, please visit some of the websites of certified meteorite labs. Many have identification guides that can help you out.

If positive for gold, not a normal meteorite. However, it could have still come from outer space. How is that possible? Could be part of a satellite.
