the one I am almost sure of, I found the other day while detecting.
it is a heavy stonefor its size and it rang off on the detector, but not as Iron, more in the nickle range.
it has metal veins and small specks and is attracted to a earth magnet.
the other is also a soft stoney rock but it is lighter and very much like a sand stone it appears to have a old crust and is attracted to a magnet more so than the other.
what do you think.

First one is a possible, but is that quartz I see in the inclusions ? If there is any trace of quartz, it is not a meteorite. The second appears to be hematite.

The fist heavy stone one looks like quartz in the scan photo but in person its more of a powdery substance and it was smoothed by my grinder giving it the appearance of quartz.
the second one you are probably right.
it seems to light, to be a meteorite.
I Don't want to send the stone one in for Analyses for fear of it being lost or stolen I am waiting for a day at our science center in toronto when there are experts on hand to look at meteorites and wrongs.
