Any good clubs to join in the Oakland County area?

Can anyone direct me to some good MDing clubs to join in the Oakland County area?

GLP - The closest one to Oakland CO is this great lakes metal detecting in Livonia. I can't vouch for the club, as I'm not a member, but I think that's your closest bet. Looks like they have a nice setup though,

GLP, there is a club in Livonia called the Michigan Treasure Hunters http://mth.greatlakesmetaldetecting.com/
They are a well knit club of good people. Another good forum is http://greatlakesmetaldetecting.com/phpBB3/portal.php The sites are made by the same guy, hense the name. Tell them Sandman sent you.

what kind of detecting are you into??, myself and ian are near clarkston on occasion we share a site or two with a small group, seems like all the clubs are an hour or better away from us so we have our own 2 or 3 man club..... that hour drive one way is an hour and 45 i could be detecting somewhere...

there are some good spots in the oakland county parks if you know where to look, your not allowed to go in the water at all, but all open areas of the park are fair game, just don't step onto the beach without seeing the park manager first, you have to have an ok to do the beach.
