Save some stuff for us!
Got a coin meeting tomorrow in Daytona Beach, a metal detecting meeting Thursday in Ocala, a ghost town hunt Sat. (location still a secret), 3 or 4 days in Louisiana visiting Gloria's son and wife and then heading for home hopefully by Apr. Fools Day! ( my retirement date-8 yrs). We spend a few days ORV'ing in the woods picking up trash on the trails, then tie in morel hunting and detecting and finally really roll in to hunting season towards the end of May.
If any of you like camping we camp anywhere from state parks to state forest campgrounds to free camping.

Re: Save some stuff for us!
Clear Lake is 8 miles from our home. Found my one and only silver dollar (1887-0) in the water at the campgrounds in 2007. It was probably a pocket piece as it didn't have much tarnish from being in the water, but I was still thrilled.

This Clear Lake is in northern Mich., north of Atlanta, and the water is true to its name.

Re: Save some stuff for us!
David,
The snow is melting!!!!!
Was 60 degrees here yesterday.
I'm chomping at the bit. Been visiting my Quattro and petting it daily.
Cannot promise anything as far as saving anything for you! But, when you get up here maybe we could connect and hunt the CCC camp we talked about.
I found it on my maps. So, I will save that one for you!
Have a good trip, and I look forward to hunting with you.

Re: Save some stuff for us!
Hey Ralph, good to hear from a close by neighbor! I have hunted the Montmorency Co. Fairgrounds on and off for 30 years and it still produces a treat once in a while. It's only .4 tenths of a mile from my home in Atlanta. Hoping to be home from exile in Florida by April Fools Day. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Re: Save some stuff for us!
Today was a very nice day here in Central Florida, mid 70's and breezy. We hunted a ghost town site west of Ocala. We found lots of pieces of chain, hooks, rr spikes, etc. I found 1 coin, a 1964D nickel, not exactly what I hoped for but we had fun. Very sore now. Tomorrows packing day, going to Louisiana for a few days, then home.
