    U.P., Michigan

Anybody know if the UP is diggable yet. Planning a road trip this weekend a little N. of Marquette and was hoping for some first hand knowledge of digging capabilities.

    Thanks,
    Makton

I would highly doubt it, I live in northern Wisconsin and thats a little further north than I am. I can't dig yet here and they are calling for a snow storm to pass through the area in the next few days.......sorry

My local contact in that area says "not yet".

I'm sure it will be a little while before you can dig. I lived in the U.P. for several years and remember one year when the frost was 96 inches deep. All the water lines broke etc. We use to snowmobile in the middle of May some years. (lol) Good luck enjoy your trip.

I still have lots of snow in the woods w. of Marquette and it will be at least a couple weeks before it thinks about thawing. Torks me off. HH
