...only problem is....I don't have a detector anymore. DUH!! I was gonna try and gain permission for two and Fistfullofdirt was gonna let me use one of his detectors while we detected. The Guy would not grant permission for two for some strange reason. I had to do a lot of talking to gain permission in the first place and when I finally came around to asking if I could bring a friend he said no. Oh well thats the way it goes sometimes.

I could go disguised as you....since I have a medal detector, that would solve the issue completely. I was telling FFD that every time I'm hunting a place I'm thinking ' I wonder if Jim C. has been here and cleaned it out'

Jim,

When I ask permission I always see how it goes first. If they say sure right away I then might see if they are ok with a friend along with me. If it takes a while I don't dare ask.
