thanks,both you guys for the advice. been spiting snow here in jax. co. hubby,s waiting opening day with tracking snow me im hoping ground won,t freeze so i can keep swingin but cant say that to the poor guy or life here would be kinda interesting ha ha sgt ski you and everybody stationed with you are in my thoughts and prayers. this sping ought to be fun. can you detect morels with an md haha take care hh

I don't know about morel hunting AND metal detecting, but I've found morels WHILE metal detecting. And those times the detector went in the trunk and the net bag came out. The coins would still be there but the morels wouldn't so the hunt switched priorities.

We are fortunate to get morels in our yard every year, but in 2004 the planets aligned or something and we had the largest crop of the largest morels I've ever seen. Check out the picture I have (hopefully correctly) uploaded. Note the ruler...
