Christmas won't be too terribly bad over here for me, although it's going to be my first Cristmas away from the wife & kids since we've been married. But we've been together 18 years so we've been lucky so far. I'm going home for my 2-week R&R in the first week of January so I'm not missing it by too much. Some of us NCOs are putting together a BBQ for our junior troops on Christmas. Other than that I'll just treat it like I did Thanksgiving. I just kept busy and it was just another day when it was all done. All that was really bad about Thanksgiving was that the Lions lost, but what's new there?

Actually Fats it snowed for about 20-30 minutes Wednesday night when I was out on a mission. In Baghdad. Go figure.

I'll be coming home on January 6th for 2-weeks leave. I won't be home long enough to justify getting the snowmobiles out of storage and putting trail passes on them though.
