    This Old Knife

Actually spotted this in an antique store for a metal detecting digger, looks way to cool for that. It has a nice wooden handle, steel sheath with a leather carrier, I'm not an expert but everything looks to be in good shape to me. it appears to be Japanese bayonet by the Asian digit stamped on the butt. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Looks like an Arisaka bayonet someone cut down into a knife. That 8 with a circle around it is the Japanese infinity symbol. Hope this helps, I had one a long time ago, but I sold it when I sold my Nambu.
