WWII German Bayonet 44ASW Help with more information needed

This is what I have so far. I need help with as much info as I can and what the value may be.
I took as many pics as I could to help.

German Nazi Bayonet, WWII, 1944, Marked: Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen, bayonet # 4898, Scabbard # 4270 with what looks like cursive dd under it. 44ASW on the other side. K98 bayonet

The makers mark is extremely hard to see. It does appear to have wings with two marks on the bottom. (possibly Hugo Koller, Solingen or Gustav Voss - Solingen)

Well that is probably a Waffenampt or weapons inspectors mark you are looking at the bayonet makers name is on the blade Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen,. The scabbard was made by E & F Horster in 1944 they used ASW as a code. I suspect you are looking at the 44 date on the scabbard which would be when the scabbard was made the bayonet should be dated on the spine and would be much earlier since it has a name on it not a code. It is pretty common to find the blade and scabbard missmatched but when new the blade and scabbard would match by maker and serial number.

I agree with drbecker on his description. Since the scabbard is kind of rusty, the value of this bayonet is anywhere from $50. to $150. depending upon the ambition of the person selling it. I think a reasonable price would be around $60. to $80. in it's current condition.

drbecker and ABruce are both right here, as far as marks and approximate value goes. Your bayonet is in better than "relic" condition, meaning there's still original surface on it and it doesn't appear terribly pitted. I'd tend to think the value would run a bit lower since most likely the person who would be interested would be looking for a good deal to restore for a display rifle, or possibly a reenactor.

I agree with NOLA_KEN, I collect bayonets, not only as wall hangers but for on my rifles. I picked up a WWII German dress bayonet with scabbard for $50.00 in better condition.

Also remember it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Could go low, but could go high.
