The U.S.is stamped on the same manor as civl war/Indian war bit boss once the ww1 era began the military really wasn't using that particular style of emblem

Cool find! I believe this is a lead seal from an ammo crate. Im not positive but I thought the Flaming Bomb symbol was for the Army Ordinance Corps. Not sure if that will help narrow down the time frame though.
