Dirtymike,
You guys are so fortunate to dig those Civil War sites. My Great Grandfather was a Confederate Cavalry Officer under Nathan Bedford Forrest. He was wounded in a Cavalry engagement in the summer of 1863, was captured and sent to a yankee POW camp for officers in Port Royal Virginia. Where he died that November from his wounds. Never got to see Alabama again.
So I'm kinda envious of you guys. Have fun, and good luck in your hunting.

Well lets just say some of the holes were to big to call a plug. But before leaving a site we make sure its all tighty. That normally includes some heavy equipment to fill in some huts or privys.

DirtyMike,
I also had to laugh at some of the pics, talk about "As**S and elbows" in the dirt. Looked like new earthenworks going up! Yes, could you send me info on how to get involved. THX
