    .64 musket ball?

My 12 year old found a .64 musket ball at an old house site. Was just wondering was this a civilian round or military. Seems like a large round for deer hunting. It is white and chalky so i know its old

    Re: .64 musket ball?

Probably actually goes to a .69 cal gun like a model 1842 i belive which was used during the civil war and before.... the musket ball would be slightly smaller diameter than the bore so it could fit down the bore.

Rule of thumb here in Europe is: The bigger the musketball is the more is it military related.
