WWII finds
I thought it would be nice to sit down and take a little time to show everybody some of the WWII artifacts myself and a few of my buddies have been finding here in Germany. Enjoy!
I will add more photos to this thread from time to time. ***NOTE: All UXO's are turned in to the German EOD folks***

Looks like you hunt not far from me this time.... Be careful with the british stuff. As far i can see this mortar is a smoke one? The 75mm casings are nice.

It's dangerous to be right when those with a thimbleful of perceived authority are wrong.
AWESOME finds! I like how you can still see the black tips on some of that .30-'06.

The majority of the American rounds I find are black tipped (armor piercing). You can see some red tipped (tracer) rounds in the pile too which are not as common. The American rounds hold up well to the wet conditions here in Germany. The German rounds, not so well!

Looks like you have the right spot! Cool finds there, some of them i've didn't seen the last 20 years coming out the ground.... Throw these german rifle grenades as far as you can! The are not friendly sometimes. Best finds for me are the magnetic anti tank hollow charge and the concrete mine!

We actually hit up multiple spots but there has always been one area which has been very giving to me! Glad you're enjoying the photos.

I must admit that i'm a little jealous.... You have some cool finds there! I hope they lead you to the right point! I know when you hit such a spot the amazing finds are not far away. Keep us updated and stay on the right side of the street when hitting that foxhole!

I know quite a few of our finds are dangerous but we are careful with them! We handle each item gingerly and get them turned in to EOD for proper disposal. Obviously the history aspect of these UXO's is way cool but I also get a good feeling by keeping the local community safe from these items too!

Another round of cool finds!
***Does anybody happen to know what the Soviet Union part may be? I'm thinking it belongs to some sort of optics equipment because it has a 6X stamped on it.

Looks to me like a part of a binocular. I happens to find russian made items there. They are brought to the western front by by troops fighting in russia before. I even found russian mp rounds here. When looking at your finds, i know you hunt close by... gimme a call the next time! Maybe i have some time to spend...
