You've probably got a 9mm slug there, as I figured out how to zoom in on the picture! Haha

1940s-modern if I had to guess!

Area had WW2 training. That woud be cool. Ill note that.

Just remember that during WW2 the US Military used predominately .45 caliber cartridges for sidearms.

Military transition to 9mm started in the late 1980s.

HOWEVER, 9mm was the issued German pistol cartridge!

Maybe, with a LOT of luck, you've got a fired round from a vet bring-back Luger.
