I live on a property that the house dates back to the mid 1800’s. My house is less than 4 miles as a crow flies from a civil war battle field and 2 two miles from a confederate camp site where 1200 confederate soldiers camped before the battle. I found this item below and trying to identify if it is the back half of a trigger guard. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
