been considering getting an XT70. My question is this. If the Explorer has multiple frequencies, how is an XT70 better? It seems I would have to buy more coils just to equal the one coil using the multiple frequency Explorer. I don't understand this part of the XT70. I am considering the XT70 because of the lighter weight. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Keep the Explorer and get the lighter SE pro coil.

Im with Iron Patch on the Pro coil. I can understand if you are looking for a lighter machine, but i think you will be making a comprimise when it comes to Relic or silver hunting.

Yes, the SE Pro coil works on all Explorers. There's no debate to that one.
