4-h--- I myself am finding out that I keep going back to the stock settings with some personal adjustments. Lately, In NC I use Relic mode. Combined with a simple nail reject option. (fields of RW-CW buttons etc) Manual sensitivity bumped up to 26. Rec deep--off--rec fast---off---conduct---2 tones. High gain--threshold pitch high- It's working lately :dontknow:

Default Coins Program for me.
Trash Density - High
Ground - Difficult
Gain - 24
Deep - ON
Fast - OFF
Everything else is stock.
At this point it's a turn on and two step and go...

Step one - noise cancel (sensitivity should be at least 20 when doing this)
Step two - Tweak Sensitivity as you hunt - Manual 20-25 (Found out Auto +3 is lacking depth on main coil and Sunray Probe)
(optionally, noise cancel again if you are nutty about it - I'm not)

Keep coil low and slow.

Switch to quickmask with FE25 to investigate iffy signals.

I hunt mainly midwest USA parks. Posted by Treasure net member

TMAN-------------------------------------------------------

I run the stock coin program. Sens +2, ground neutral, deep off, fast on, gain is around 26. I am going to check the auto sens at +2 then after getting some idea of the ground condition, I will go to manual and bump it up 3 more and check some targets. TMAN.

the first two outings were run in the stock coins program, did very well. I then set up the Deep Coin Settings for an Explorer SE with changes to the E=trac from Andy Sabish's book. Using Normal Response,Threshold barely audible,Recovery deep on,recovery fast off, Sensitivity 20. I tweeked that from man to auto to see what it was doing and found in Manual that it seemed to do a little better in the heavy trash. This area is hit by many and has been over the years

Hi all
I have been trying something new that seems to work great
I run in auto +3 in coin mode and on my quick mask I have been running wide open
this is great when using the sunray probe more depth and the ability to find them pesky nails and see and hear the iffy target a little better HH RonC
