I had a friend on facebook that seen some of my civil war relic post so she sends me a message and said she had this detector for three years and it had only been used twice. It turned out to be a minelad explorer II that does not have a scratch on it and has a small excellerator coil along with the stock coil. It has a real nice set of koss headphones and a folded up shovel in a nice belt holster. They gave 1200.00 for it and only used it twice so My question is whats this thing worth. I'm really not a minelab type of guy but I'm gonna give it a swing just to see if it will out perform my previous three detectors which are all whites. Someone help on price please so I will know if I am stuck with it please.

$400.00 in My opinion. Simply because of Age
& Probably Lack of Service if it Goes down.

other then that
Condition wise It's still a Thousand dollar Detector

Thanks but $400.00 hurts my feelings and might just end up keeping it if thats the case.

Sorry Didn't mean to Hurt Your Feelings.

I'm a Big Minelab fan, Only going by my
opinion,
Which is worth a Buck 2-98 on a good Day :D

I suppose find the right person,
you may be able to double it to $800.

I Know if I Used the Explorer 2 for
6 or so years, & Mine went bad,
I May pay it just to
continue with what I Already
am used to :dontknow:

What hurt your feelings? Your first post indicated you were buying this from a friend, not selling it. Feelings have no place in business transactions. Items are worth only what someone is willing to pay.

I was just kidding about the feelings being hurt but I'd hate to take $400.00 for a new detector.

When I was shopping ebay for one they went from 600 to 700+ in like new condition regularly. I wound up with a SE for $675. There were EX 2's that sold over $800.
