What's all the buzz about you guys? Other than the fact that is has an "auto off" feature and a Minelab logo......it's a Pro-pointer!! Don't get me wrong I love my Etrac but I'm not throwing myself in front of a Minelab train just to say I have one.....LOL!!

I found this:
Pro Find2.jpg

It will only be deeper if it is a PI Probe............ And it sure does look like the Garrett Pro pointer...& i never trusted auto on or auto off

;D That was my thought Dave!!! But i'm still holding out hope that minelab will for once try to appeal to those of us who are "thrifty"! After what I paid for my etrac, i'm expecting a budget priced probe, hint hint minelab

It is only water resistant. What a shame. Waterproof would be great.

I'm not sure if adjustable sensitivity is a nice feature or not. I find my target and cover the hole. I don't need to be playing around.

PI probes like Vibraprobe interfere too much with my main detector.

Vibrate only mode is great. I hate those Pro pointers beeping. I taped my speaker and still hear it.

Auto shut off is nice and a battery saver if you are using vibrate mode only.

I think Minelab realizes that they need a competitive price.

although I Trust Minelab 100%
Not sure if I Like the auto Shutoff idea at all.

Unless it takes at least 3 to 5 Minutes to shut off.

My Garrett Probe shuts off on occasion
while I'm still using it.
This Irritates me. Not enough to
waste Postage to send it in, especially
with the Mild winter. not sure when i'll need it again.
but all the same it does Irritates me when
I'm using it & it shuts off.

I hope they have the right people Testing them
before they release them to the public.
I realy dislike having to return things for repair :tongue3:

as for Water Proof vs Water resistant.
anything with an open speaker can't be
completely waterproof
