I used to have Coolphones made by Detector Electronics, that featured small earcups that did not fully enclose the ears. This was a welcome feature in hot weather, but I used them year round. Coby CV135 phones, $9.99, are similar in design so I tried them today with my E-Trac. The cable is 6 ft, not coiled, and no volume control. I'll probably use these phones all the time.
I briefly detected a grass strip near an old apartment building, found the usual change, but one 1915 penny, and a Bowman CAA medallion. A quick google search indicates it was an archery award to Scouts "back in the day."
