Minelab Explorer II Learning Resources?
Hi All, just scored a Minelab Explorer II at a Thrift Store for cheap and I want to give coin and relic hunting a try. I've been swinging Minelab PI's for gold nuggets for over six years but I have no clue how to use Explorers. I have to admit this thing is WAAAAYYYY more complicated than any of my ML PI's!! LOL
Can someone point me in the right direction for some learning resources please?
Thanks
Del
PS- I've already downloaded the manual and read it. Looking for something a little more for basic setup and operation.

As Lost Hunter said, look on YouTube for video's. There should be some on Minelabs website too or even Kellyco.

Get the Andy Sabisch's book "The MineLab Explorer & E-Trac Handbook".
Tons of good readable info in there w/illustrations.

 Clark and Ellen's cousin
I'll be following your posts. I just bought an Exlporer 2 on ebay for a great price. Mine has the 8x12 Platypus coil. I haven't hear too many bad reviews. (Bad reviews) ....Just from people that I can tell by reading thier posts they are impatient and the learning curve is getting them. I am mainly a coinshooter and I hear these machines are good on silver and deeper coins. The price I got it for was such a deal I couldn't pass it up.

The explorers started it all. They are great machines! Any good finds yet?

I believe I can help. I have a friend named Ron in Calif. that sent me a set up for my Explorer 11 and has been very stable and finds deep coins as well. If you want I can email them to you. Ron also gave me some relic settings as well. Yours in Christ, Ky.Ed P.S. I have sent these settings to others that have had serious set up problems and they say the machine is very stable now. Just trying to help!
