I find platinum reads similar to gold on my machines.

Yep same as gold. I've found a platinum ring and it came up like a gold one or nickel coin

Is it a recent drop? If so lower sensitivity. No need to dig deep targets.

Platinum rings are alloyed with other metals just like gold so the conductivity isn't standard and can be all over the screen if you use a screen. They normally are in the pull tab/gold ring area.

It was lost/thrown a couple of years ago and there are lots of moles in the yard so....anyway yes gonna keep my eye out for lower readings on 180 meter. Heading out the door right this minute
