Just out of curiosity did you try Auto +3 on Etrac? The sensitivity circuit is totally different on Etrac than Explorer. Also did you swap coils and repeat test to see if one may be hotter than the other?
I tried almost every combination possible. I also put the pro coil on both machines. The aftermarket coil is a bit more stable gave a gain of almost 1" in depth over the factory coil, in a controlled setting.

I'm going to try a 13" Ultimate. I've had good results on GT and it feels lighter than 10" tornado.

Actually, I was looking for answers (if the original thread was read) from some one who has both a Explorer II and an Etrac.
