If you are specifically looking for shallow targets (just under the grass) then turn sensitivity down some, to at least 20 or less. When pinpointing a target just under the grass it will scream at you like a siren and you will know right away it's a shallow target. If looking for silver coins, run all metal (no disc) 99 tones (yes, I know it's overwhelming at first, if you can't deal with it use 4 tones) and dig all the higher pitched tones that you can get a repeatable signal on. If the area is not real trashy, crank up sens to at least 25 if possible. Anything that ID's 36 (high tones) & up are digger's when looking for silver. If the good tones bounce a bit above and below the desired ID# (38-40-36-38, etc..) it is definitely worth digging, it could be a deeper coin or a coin next to trash that is skewing the ID#s a bit. The key to finding the goodies in the trash with the X-Terra's is the 99 (actually 28) tones, so feel free to try this option and learn it. Keep us posted on your finds and good luck! HH

Good post above!

If its trashy like most parks you might want to try a smaller coil. Remember to go slow!
