All i can tell you is to call Minelab and ask them ...

Unfortunately Minelab serial numbers can not give you age of detectors, I already called and asked....

I don't think you can but I coukd be wrong, call Minelab in Chicago and ask

..Minelab detectors are now made in ..Malaysia..

They all made in Malaysia now I believe. My ETRAC isn't that old so it came from Malaysia and it works perfectly...

The early Etracs were made in Ireland, later the production was moved to Malaysia. I have seen ZERO difference between machines made in the two places.

But I can't help you tell where yours was made by the serial number, sorry

Minelab may not be able tell you when it was made, but they can tell you when then warranty started or ran out. 3 year warranty... Do the math. Ask again.
