CTX 3030 Noise Cancel problem

Curious if anyone else has this issue. I have only had this detector a few days. Coming from an Etrac. First day of use the noise cancel works fine. First real hunt I go to noise cancel and it goes to up to 2 and stops. Doesn't finish the pass, just hangs at 2. I was going to do a master reset but have a couple patterns saved already so I thought I would ask here first.

Yeah, still dont know why its hanging though. I'll do a reset and see if that fixes things. Worked fine out back when I was just putting around checking out the detector.

You need to link to the Xchange for software updates prior to using it.

I've never seen that happened. The only way I know of how to cancel the noise cancel process is hitting the pinpoint button. I would check for a software update and go from there.

So I did a "settings" reset and now it works fine again? Not sure what happened but I will keep an eye on it.

I had mine hang once when I was doing some rapidfire button pushing. Probably glitched the software. Followed Rule #1 on computer repair and turned it off and back on. That was hundreds of hours ago and no problem since.

Yeah, power on and off was the first thing I did. That didn't work for me but the reset option did. Who knows.

Remember it is a detector with a built in computer.....Computers have software glitches...

I have a ctx 3030 and noticed that if a Garrett At pro or GTA 1350 come within ten to twenty feet of me, My Ctx 3030 won't detect anything, once they move farther away I can detect coins etc again. Is this a noise cancel problem or any one else have this problem?

It is interference from the transmitting of the other detectors.
