I ran into a batch on Minelab's website here last week, but can't for the life of me retrace my steps. I'd gone in through Xchange2 for the CTX, but saw a list for the Etrac there as well on the page. Keep surfing, and swinging of course.

I'm thinking you'd have to install them through Xchange

The Etrac does not allow software updates like the CTX does. If there were an update you would have to send it in.

Rob nailed it. The CTX 3030 does have that capability, but not the Etrac. Every Etrac is the same from the oldest to the newest....

I don't have any experience with the ctx but I have the etrac. I really can't find many flaws other than maybe the recovery speed being a tad slow. it would probably need a faster processor to achieve faster recovery. But to me that's not even needed. It's still one of the best machines out there. A true silver killer.....and deep.
