Did you put it in "My Modes"?

Treasure_Hunter, the software had only two folders "Samples" and "GPZ Samples". I created a new folder called "My Stuff". I dragged the Beach mode to that folder, edited it, and then dragged it back to the CTX-3030.

Should I create a My Modes folder?

I am using Version 1.8.7-1.1.10 of XChange2

Sorry, my mistake I was thinking of the E-series they have "my modes", 3030 doesn't. I know you can name the program and upload it to the 3030 so not sure what your did wrong.

In Exchange2 you can’t rename a mode in the "File" section of the menu instead need to be in the "All" section. Use the Edit (pencil) icon on right next to the mode in "All" and it works fine.

What I am wanting to do is edit one of the default modes without creating a new one, I assume that is possible. So I wish to just edit "Beach", and not end up with two modes both called "Beach". If anyone knows the procedure please let me know.

I'm not sure you can modify the factory preset modes. You can edit them, and if you want to save the edited version, you need to save it under a different name. Call it "My Beach" or Beach 2.

Thanks cudamark. I was looking at Gary Draytons beach setup and all his changes are to M2, so I am guessing he just edited it within the CTX itself, which I assume you can do, as opposed to XChange2

Correct, you can edit it on the fly in the detector.
