Have an old SD2100 That needs batteries and checked out by someone that is familiar with then. Have owned ti for 14 years and never turned it on. It came to me with some other detectors I bought in a package deal and wasn't interested in it. Now I have a use for it and no money in it yet, so wont mind putting some into it if it is worth it. Know nothing about it, So any input from members would be of help.

The whole top comes off the dead lead acid battery (it’s just glued on) and can be attached to a cheap replacement battery from anywhere of the same specification (used in motorcycles, alarm systems, etc). Get a new one, turn it on - if it works, you’re good to go.

It was a state of the art gold machine in it's day, and still a pretty good one. Hope it fires up and works properly!
