Excal needs min of 12 volts to run below that it affects the performance and starts shutting down circuits, on good battery you will get between 14.5 and 15.5 on full charge, charger should be putting out 18 volts.

Just checked the output of my ExcalII Minicab charger with my Fluke meter, it is putting out 22.3v DC, label on the charger says output is 14.3v. Minelab thinks charger is defective, I agree. Output should not be more than 18v to fully charge battery to 14.3v.
