Question about depth between 10.5" and 8" coil (Quattro & Explorer)

What is the difference in depth from the 10.5" coil and the 8" coil? :icon_scratch: Would it make a big difference in a beach setting? :icon_scratch: I know that using a bigger coil is easier at the beach, but I am just curious about the depth between the two coils. My thoughts are that the 8" would provide better results in trash areas of beach, but my concern is loss of depth. All input appreciated.

Your right about the loss of depth at the beach, but what is worse is the loss of ground coverage. The larger coil not only gets a few inches deeper, it covers more sq. inches. With the DD coil, this means less over lap during swings to up your chances of getting the coil over it.
