I have planned a hunt North east of Union MS. This was the location of a skirmish between Gen. Wirt Adam and General Grierson. During the war General Grierson's outfit moved through that area camped and stopped to eat at the plantation of a Mr. Synder approx. 2.5 miles north of Union Church. Does anyone know the best way to find out who that property may belong to today. Do county archives go back that far or is that something that will need to be researched in the local library. Looking for help to find where these guy camped, any ideas would be helpful...
